At Food Mind Body we use a unique blend of clinical and lived experience, as well as evidence based practice to assist clients in their journey to wellbeing. We work with our clients to establish balanced nutrition, a sustainable eating pattern, good relationship to food and self compassion. Initial sessions will take place on a weekly basis, with the first two to three sessions forming the basis of assessment. Treatment options and direction will be determined as part of this initial phase. This may also include onward referral to a General Practitioner, Psychiatrist, Psychologist or other health professional. Weekly sessions are maintained for up to ten weeks as research shows momentum and consistency is crucial to sustained change. Beyond the initial treatment phase frequency is determined in response to progress and complexity of the presenting concern. We encourage clients to remain linked in with the service for at least 12 months beyond completion of treatment to reduce the likelihood of return to past behaviours.
